Fishermans Kitchen Albacore Tuna Melt

Albacore Tuna Melt


  • One 7 ½ ounce can of Fisherman's Market Fancy Albacore Tuna 
  • 6 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoon red onion, diced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • dash of apple cider vinegar
  • 2 ciabatta rolls, split
  • 4 slices of Swiss or Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened / room temp

Let's Make It!

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450°F. 

Step 2

In a medium bowl, mix drained Albacore tuna, mayo, red onion, green onion, and apple cider vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. 

Step 3

Optional (also yummy cold!): Heat a panini press or griddle. Place a slice of cheese on top and bottom

of roll halves. 

Step 4

Spread the tuna mixture on the bottom of each roll. Close the sandwiches and spread butter on the outsides of each roll.

Step 5

Place the sandwiches on the press or griddle and cook over medium heat until the cheese is all gooey and melty-about 5 minutes. Open rolls and place in oven for about 1 minute. 

Step 6

Remove from oven, close sandwiches, cut in half, and enjoy!

Suggested Pairing

Serve with a pint of your favorite IPA or Amber Ale
